Our Story
The day everything began
5 April 2025, Cornwall, England
There are days that change everything. Days that divide life into before and after. For us, that day was the fifth of April, two thousand and twenty-five. A spring morning on the Cornwall coast, a church filled with the people we love, and a promise that would last a lifetime.
This is the story of our wedding day. Not just the events, but the feelings. The quiet nerves of the morning. The overwhelming beauty of the ceremony. The laughter and tears of the speeches. The golden light of evening on the hilltop above the estuary. Every moment, every detail, every heartbeat of the most extraordinary day of our lives.
The Morning
The day began in the soft quiet of the bridal suite. Sunlight through skylights, the sound of laughter beginning to build, and the dress, hanging in the window like a promise of what was to come.
There is something beautiful about the morning of a wedding. The anticipation. The care taken over every detail. The moment a mother sees her daughter ready. The look in a best friend’s eyes. It is a chapter of the day that belongs entirely to the people closest to the bride and groom, and it is precious.
The Ceremony
A beautiful Cornwall church. Stained glass casting coloured light across the pews. Family and friends gathered in stillness. And then, the moment everyone had been waiting for.
Charlie stood at the front, trying to hold it together. And when Larissa appeared at the door, the whole room caught its breath. This was the moment. The vows, the rings, the blessing. The beginning of Mr and Mrs McLachlan.
The Journey
Married. Stepping out of the church and into the sunlight as husband and wife. A vintage white car waiting. The Cornwall coast stretching out in front of them. And a few quiet moments together before the celebration began.
These are the portraits that stop time, the ones you look at years later and still feel everything.
The Celebration
The barn was glowing. Fairy lights overhead, long wooden tables dressed with flowers, and a welcome sign that read their names. Inside, the warmth of a hundred people who had come to celebrate love.
The speeches were extraordinary. Words that made the room laugh, cry, and feel deeply grateful to be there. Every word a reminder of how loved these two people are, and how much this day meant to everyone in the room.
The Golden Hour
As the sun began to dip towards the estuary, Charlie and Larissa stole away to the hilltop. The light was impossibly beautiful. The kind of light that makes the world feel like it was made just for this moment. These are the photographs that live in the heart forever.
The Night
The first dance. The dancefloor filling. Friends and family moving together under the glow of the barn lights. This is where formality gave way to pure, unfiltered joy. Where shoes came off and laughter grew louder and the night felt like it could last forever.
